Antalya Airport Transfer Guide

Antalya Airport (AYT) is the gateway to the whole Turkish Riviera — not just Antalya city, but the resort coast stretching from Kemer in the west to Alanya in the east. Here's how to get from arrivals to your hotel, and a quick overview of where people actually go once they land.

Getting from Antalya Airport to Your Hotel

Private Transfer

A private transfer is the only option that goes directly from the terminal to your hotel door with no stops in between — your driver tracks your flight, meets you at arrivals, and the price is fixed before you fly, regardless of traffic. It's the most comfortable option for families with luggage or late-night arrivals, and for destinations further out — Belek, Side, Alanya, Kemer — it's usually the only way to avoid multiple changes of transport.

HAVAŞ Airport Bus

HAVAŞ buses run between the airport and Antalya's city center on a set schedule, roughly every hour, and are the cheapest way to cover the core distance. The catch: HAVAŞ only goes as far as the city center bus station, so if your hotel is in Lara, Belek, or further along the coast, you'll still need a taxi or another transfer from there.

Taxi

Official taxis wait at a rank outside arrivals. It's a fine option for a short city-center hop, but fares aren't fixed in advance, and during peak arrival times a longer wait and a higher-than-usual fare are both common.

Antalya's Main Holiday Regions

Lara and Belek

Known for wide sandy beaches and golf courses, these areas are mostly large all-inclusive resort belts — a strong fit for families or anyone wanting a straightforward resort holiday close to the airport. See our Lara and Belek transfer pages for specifics.

Kemer

Wedged between the mountains and the sea, Kemer offers both beach time and real hiking, with a genuine marina town at its center rather than just a resort strip — Beldibi and Göynük nearby have a more boutique, low-key feel.

Kaş and Kalkan

For a quieter, more authentic holiday further from the crowds, Kaş and Kalkan trade resort amenities for harbor-town charm, diving, and boat trips — expect a longer transfer in exchange for a very different pace.

Places Worth Seeing Beyond Your Hotel

Kaleiçi (Old Town)

Narrow stone streets, Ottoman-era houses, and Hadrian's Gate make Kaleiçi the historic heart of Antalya — genuinely pleasant for an evening walk, not just a daytime sight.

Düden Waterfalls

Close to the city center, Düden Şelalesi has both an upper and lower falls, the lower one dropping straight into the sea — an easy stop for a short break from the beach.

Ancient Cities

The region holds some of Turkey's best-preserved Roman ruins: Perge and Aspendos among them — Aspendos's theater is still solid enough to host concerts today.
