Finike
Finike is a genuinely slow-paced coastal town about 2 hours 30 minutes from Antalya Airport, officially recognized as a "Cittaslow" — one of Turkey's slow cities. It's known nationally for the Finike orange, and the surrounding groves shape both the local economy and the landscape you'll drive through to get here.
The Marina and Beach
Finike's old port is now a working marina hosting fishing boats and traditional Turkish gulets, with the main public beach just east of it — a long stretch of fine sand with a gentle slope that's genuinely easy for kids. The coastline continues for over 20 km beyond the town, home to loggerhead turtles and the protected Mediterranean monk seal.
Ancient Sites Nearby
Arykanda's Roman ruins — theaters and baths set into a hillside — are a short trip inland, and Limyra, an important Lycian archaeological site with striking rock tombs, sits in farmland just outside town.
