South of Kemer, the resort coast gives way to something quieter — three neighboring stops that trade all-inclusive amenities for ruins, myth, and a genuinely undeveloped bay.
Olympos: Ruins Left Exactly as They Were Found
Olympos sits in a jungle-green gorge that opens onto a beach, its Roman baths and Byzantine basilica still tangled in laurel and fig trees rather than roped off and cleared. Dating to the 2nd century BC, it was once a leading city of the Lycian League, and it sits directly on the Lycian Way, one of the world's great long-distance hiking trails — as much a hiker's stop as a ruins visit. The village is almost as well known for its tree-house accommodation as for the ancient city itself.
Çıralı: Eternal Flames and a Protected Turtle Beach
Right next door, Çıralı is best known for the Chimaera — natural gas seeping from cracks in the mountainside that has burned continuously for thousands of years, the phenomenon believed to have inspired the Greek myth of the fire-breathing Chimera. The flames are usually visited after dark. Çıralı's beach is also a protected nesting site for endangered loggerhead sea turtles, which come ashore at night between May and August.
Adrasan: The Quietest Bay on This Coast
Further along, Adrasan is the most secluded of the three — a two-kilometer crescent of golden sand reached by a winding mountain road that's kept it well outside the main resort belt. Small guesthouses replace large hotels here, and boat trips run from the bay out to hidden coves, the sunken ruins of Kekova, and Suluada Island.
