Three ways to get from Antalya Airport to your hotel come up in every search: the HAVAŞ bus, a taxi, and a private transfer. Here's what each actually costs, and — more importantly — what the price does and doesn't include.
HAVAŞ Airport Bus
The cheapest option by a wide margin, HAVAŞ buses run on a set schedule between the airport and Antalya's city center bus station. The trade-off is coverage: HAVAŞ stops at the city center, so if your hotel is in Lara, Belek, Side, or further along the coast, the bus fare is only the first leg — you'll still need a taxi or transfer to actually reach your hotel, which adds to the total and removes most of the savings.
Taxi
Official taxis wait at a rank outside arrivals, metered rather than fixed-price. During normal hours this is a reasonable, flexible option — but fares can rise noticeably during peak arrival windows (typically evening and late-night flight banks), and a driver unfamiliar with a specific resort's internal roads can add unplanned minutes to the meter. There's also no way to know the exact fare before you land.
Private Transfer
A private transfer is quoted and agreed before you fly — the price doesn't change for traffic, a longer route to find your specific hotel entrance, or delays on your flight. For destinations further from the airport (Belek, Side, Alanya, Kemer), it's often priced comparably to what a taxi would end up costing anyway, but with a fixed number agreed in advance and a driver who meets you inside arrivals rather than at a taxi rank.
What a Fixed Price Should Actually Include
Not all "private transfer" listings are equal — before booking, it's worth checking that the quote includes:
- Flight tracking — so a delayed flight doesn't leave you without a driver, or charge you for the wait
- Meet & greet inside arrivals — rather than a pickup point outside the terminal
- No per-passenger or per-bag surcharges added after booking
- A named driver and vehicle, not a shared shuttle with other travelers' stops along the way
